September/October Roundup Time!

September/ October is Roundup Time on the Nelson Ranch. 614 Cow Pairs are Rounded Up from the National Forest. It takes lots of Riding every day to find all the cow pairs.
This year our Ranch and Forest permits were blessed with avoiding the massive distruction that wildfires created all around the Okanogan County.

Hay Making this year was very short and sweet.  Due to the hot weather and not very much rain in the Spring we only had about 100 tons of Hay. A Very Lean Year Indeed!
